Without a warrant people are like Vampires. No one, but no one can enter your home or rental unit without your okey.

It is not the breaking of your door, and the rummaging of the drawers, but it is the invasion of your indefeasible right of personal security, personal liberty and private property.... breaking into a house and opening boxes and drawers are circumstances of aggravation; but any forcible and compulsory extortion of a person's own testimony or of a person's private papers to be used as evidence to convict that person of a crime or to forfeit his or her goods, is within the condemnation of that judgement.
In this regard the Fourth and Fifth Amendments run almost into each other."
